Terms of Service Agreement
This Terms of Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding document between you (“Contestant”) and DesiIdols (“Organizers”). By registering for the DesiIdols competition, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Failure to comply with these terms may result in disqualification from the competition.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Contestants must be legal residents of the United States or the United Kingdom and at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
1.2 Proof of residency and age may be required at any stage of the competition.
1.3 Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any Contestant for providing false information or for non-compliance with these terms.
2. Registration and Entry Fee
2.1 Contestants must register on the official DesiIdols website and submit their audition video by March 1, 2025.
2.2 A non-refundable entry fee of $50 is required at the time of registration.
2.3 Only one entry per Contestant is allowed. Duplicate entries will result in disqualification without a refund.
3. Audition Video Requirements
3.1 Audition videos must:
- Be no longer than 3 minutes in duration.
- Feature a performance in the Hindi language.
- Be of high audio and visual quality to enable fair evaluation.
3.2 Videos that do not meet these requirements may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Organizers.
4. Competition Rounds
4.1 The competition consists of the following stages:
- Online Auditions: Contestants submit a video audition via the website.
- Live Virtual Rounds: Selected Contestants perform live via video conference for the judges.
- Grand Finale: The top 10 Contestants from the semi-finals will compete for the final prizes.
4.2 Contestants are responsible for organizing and funding their own travel and accommodation for the in-person semi-finals and grand finale. The Organizers will not reimburse or cover any expenses.
5. Judging and Prizes
5.1 Judging decisions are based on criteria such as vocal ability, stage presence, creativity, and overall performance quality.
5.2 The judges’ decisions are final and binding, and no appeals or disputes will be entertained.
5.3 Prizes will be awarded as follows:
- Winner: $10000
- 1st Runner-Up: $5000
- 2nd Runner-Up: $2500
5.4 Prizes are non-transferable and will be disbursed only after all required documentation is provided by the winners.
6. Consent and Release
6.1 By entering the competition, Contestants grant the Organizers the right to use their audition videos, live performances, and related materials for promotional, marketing, and other purposes without additional compensation.
6.2 Contestants agree to participate in promotional activities, interviews, or other events as requested by the Organizers.
7. Liability and Indemnification
7.1 The Organizers are not responsible for:
- Technical issues preventing the submission or evaluation of audition videos.
- Travel delays, cancellations, or other issues arising from Contestants’ travel arrangements.
- Injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation in the competition.
7.2 Contestants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers, judges, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of their participation in the competition.
8. Disqualification
8.1 The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any Contestant for:
- Violation of this Agreement or competition rules.
- Misrepresentation, fraud, or misconduct.
- Failure to comply with instructions provided by the Organizers or judges.
9. General Provisions
9.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Organizers’ Principal Location], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
9.2 Any disputes arising out of this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of [Organizers’ Principal Location].
9.3 The Organizers reserve the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be posted on the DesiIdols website.
By completing the registration process and submitting an audition video, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
